First network threat neutralized
As a reminder and summary of The Hedge project and it’s decentralized public network: it is not centralized. To clarify the network structure that was designed and created by The Architect with advise from The Cat and The Facilitator:
- The Network promotes independence, self-sufficiency and mutual aid.
- The Network strives towards self-empowerment and individual freedom.
- The Network supports new initiatives, innovation and autonomy.
What does this all mean?
- The project is public-led, not specifically led by it’s core devs, nor it’s creator
- The project is based on a DIY (Do It Yourself) attitude (not Delegate It Yourself)
- There are no leaders: only those who empower themselves to take initiative
Why is this being explained?
Due to an aggressive attempt to centralize the project around it’s creator. This network threat was categorically rejected with ridicule. Those acting to patronize individuals with ignorance will no longer be tolerated by all core devs.
As network developers, we understand and sympathize that the idea of self-empowerment and decentralization is confusing to many, even off-putting to some.
Most individuals expect to turn to leaders to find those responsible and look to those in charge to be delegated tasks. If this is how you feel, this public network isn’t for you.
